Amy is an experienced Orton-Gillingham tutor who has supported students with dyslexia for over a decade. She began her career as a Reading Specialist and Learning Support teacher in public schools and now tutors privately with Dyslexia–Language Skills Therapy. She holds a Master’s in Teaching with a special education endorsement and is certified through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), the Orton-Gillingham Academy (OGA), and the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). Amy works with students in kindergarten through eighth grade, from early reading skills like letter sounds to multi-syllable words, spelling patterns, word structure (prefixes, suffixes, and base words), and writing. She supports students with dyslexia and co-occurring differences such as ADHD, autism, and anxiety, helping them develop into strong, confident readers.
