Robin has dedicated her career to teaching students with dyslexia. She joined D-LST in 1986, and holds a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in elementary education. Robin received specialized training in Alphabetic Phonics/Take Flight at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia at the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas. She is a Certified Academic Language Therapist through the Academic Language Therapy Association, and was an original charter member of that organization. Robin’s passion is giving students the skills and knowledge they need to overcome their dyslexia. She strives to instill curiosity about the English language in her students as they learn how written English works. She loves watching their confidence grow as they become readers and conquer the written word.
